Sharm El Sheikh lies at the Southern tip of the Sinai peninsular with great views afforded from the southern section of the town which stands on a cliff overlooking the port. the resort consists of a series of sandy bays along the water's edge housing innumerable and extraordinary coral reefs backed by a mountainous desert. All around are Bedouins, colourful tents, mountains and sea. there are small, intimate hotels as well as larger international complexes, plus just about all the amenities one could expect of a major tourist centre, including casinos, discos and nightclubs, golf courses and health
facilities.
Naama Bay is now a magnet for holidaymakers. the bay itself is one of the most attractive with a long stretch of golden sandy beaches leading into clear blue waters. Quality hotels lead on to the beachfront promenade which runs the length of the bay - perfect for a leisurely stroll. the bay has developed into a bustling cosmopolitan resort with a wide selection of shops, nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Naama Beach is one of the main tourist spots. Located just north of Sharm, this area is developing into a resort town of its own. Shark's Bay is also nearby, and again is a growing resort community with more and more to offer, along with several diving centres. Ras Um Sid is classed as the cliff-top area although it is truly a plateau along the coastal edge of Sharm El Sheikh.
With diving, windsurfing, watersports, horses and camel rides and desert safaris, it is impossible for a visitor to suffer from boredom!
