There are three main areas; the central 'old' town, known as El Dahar, is accessible on foot for shopping and the multi-national party scene after dark in the city's always-exciting clubs and nightspots. On the east facing shore is El Sakala with its old port, and south of this lies a 15 mile strip of hotels situated between the coastal road and the beach.

Backed by a distant range of saw-toothed mountains which provide the perfect backdrop of amazing sunsets, Hurghada is noted for its beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters making this location a major resort for diving and watersports. The beaches are full of water lovers enjoying windsurfing, deep-sea fishing and sailing whilst divers from around the world come here to enjoy the soft, untouched coral reefs and variety of spectacular subtropical reef fish.
